Davido has won the 2017 MTV European Music Awards in London for Best African Act.
The Music giant has had a wonderful year with the release of IF that shook the whole of Africa and with extension the rest of the world. But he wasn’t done and it was revealed when he dropped Fall that will surely be in contention for the song of the year and he did not let the rumors surrounding the death of his friends bring him down as he released another single FIA while still on his 30billion Tour of Africcan countries.
Davido was in competition with other big names, with Wizkid the most worthy of opponents with his equally successful year in the world at large that saw his album feature on the Billboard 200 chart. Others on the list were Babes Woduno, Nasty C, C4 Pedro and Nyashinski.
Wizkid grabbed the award last year in Rotterdam but he has now been stopped from retaining the crown by rave of the moment: O.B.O!
He dedicated the award to his mother in touching tweet.
