And if yours is to follow celebrity diatribes, then we have you covered. And right now, the saga is between online air personality, Daddy Freeze, and international music artist, Timi Dakolo.
It all began with a simple opinion post on Instagram in which Dakolo stated his position on marriage and divorce. In a nutshell, Dakolo believes that marriage a lifelong commitment meant for matured adults and to be entered into only when one is ready.
Daddy Freeze, he himself a divorcee, followed up with a post that suggests it’s better to divorce than to remain in a toxic relationship and gave an instance of a young man who nearly had his p---s cut off by an ex-wife.
Well for Timi Dakolo, that was a god-sent opportunity to bare his not opinion about the media guy. The Voice Nigeria judge shamelessly admitted that he had been waiting for a chance like that “like a child waiting for a new toy.”
He called out Daddy Freeze for encouraging people from desisting from making tithe donations, “We as Christians give our offering/tithes to God, whether pastor chop or not na him go answer God and God will be blessing us for giving.” he further added that ‘a carnal man cannot understand the things of the spirit.”
On the issue of Dakolo’s marriage post, the singer says Daddy freeze is not qualified to express an opinion. “You don’t have any right to talk about marriage and give advice or even contribute any little bit… My respect for you went down the drain the day I saw you call the mother that you children useless” Phew!
The singer wasn’t done implied that Daddy Freeze was immature and didn’t and incapable of utilising time well. “Guy go boil beans or peel egusi… Men know what to say and when to say them.”
The “Iyawo mi” further reiterated what he said in the post that began it all and then some more.
Dakolo must have hit some sore point as Daddy Freeze angrily responded with the following:
“Unlike you, I haven’t waited all my life to respond to you, why should I? Who are you and where’s the sense in what you write or what you stand for?
“You are a product of this same shallow doctrine yourself, the churches you perform at, where do you think they get the money to pay from?
“You speak about marriage, how long you been married for? What do you know? You say I don’t have the right to comment on marriage, who gave you the license to comment?
“I was married for 10 whole years, you dingbat! If I can’t comment on marriage, WHO CAN?”
Jamb question. Does anyone have answers?
