Top 12 countdown with Cobhams Asuquo

Yea! It’s another week and another episode – the 48th to be precise.

In this week’s top 12 countdowns, Amaree’s Sunday exchanges spot with Drumroll’s Nakata. Celest’s Black drops one spot to #7 for Brymo’s Heya.

Falling down one spot at #3 is Cobhams One Hit, just when I thought it would hit the first spot.

And we have the #1 for 6 weeks running, Adekunle Gold’s Ire. Methinks, there’s no sitting on the fence with this one. It is either you hate it or you see yourself playing it multiple times every day – it doesn’t matter whether you were on board from day one or are a later convert. So, can’t say I blame Cobhams – it is going to take one hell of a song to topple Ire.

A surprising miss from the list is Akiin Shuga’s I Can Walk, a motivational song written by the leader of Shuga band, a song of hope that we can keep going even in the face of challenges. The song was co-written by Cobhams himself.

Here is this week’s top 12 countdown

#12 Brave by Bukky
#11 Amaree feat. Singer’s Sunday
#10 Drumroll feat Walace Nukata remix
#09 Seyhor’s Lie to Me
#08 Burnaboy’s Heaven’s Gate
#07 Celeste Ojatula’s Black
#06 Brymo’s Heya
#05Lady Donli’s Poison
#04 Efe Oraka’s Wonderland
#03 Cobham’s One Hit
#02 Tomi’s Night Rain
#01Adekunle Gold’s Ire
