Trailer Thursday: Netflix and chill at home with these 10 Nollywood movies

Thanks to the Coronavirus, people have been asked to stay at home or self-isolate while waiting for the Coronavirus pandemic to pass.

As a result, many establishments are closed down – markets, banks, businesses, and even movie theatres. This is why we have to turn to the only other option for entertainment this period and stream some movies on Netflix.

For this reason, we have compiled a list of ten Sidomex Entertainment approved movies for you to watch during this self-isolation season.

The movies fall across a range of genres including comedy, drama, action, and thriller. Check out our list of ten movies below:

1. Lionheart

Lionheart caused quite a stir when it was first released. It premiered at the 2018 International Film Festival in 2018. After that, it was snapped up by Netflix for an undisclosed amount.

It was selected as Nigeria’s entry for Best International Film at the Oscars, but was disqualified as too much of the film is in English. The film’s disqualification stirred up some drama with American director, Ava DuVernay slamming the Oscars for the disqualification.

Lionheart tells the story of Adaeze Obiagu (Nnaji), who wants to substitute for her father, Chief Ernest Obiagu (Pete Edochie), when he can no longer run his company due to health issues. Her father, however, asks his brother Godswill (Nkem Owoh) to take his place, and Godswill and Adaeze have to work hard together to save the company from debt and to not lose it to the businessman Igwe Pascal (Kanayo O.
