Talk host Wendy Williams is set to have her very own Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Hollywood Boulevard come 17 October 2019, according to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Wendy will receive the 2677th star on the Walk of Fame Boulevard. Each star comprises of a five-pointed terrazzo and brass, which is embedded along the Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood, California.
Each star bears the name of an entertainer, actual or fictional, in recognition of “achievement in the entertainment industry,” according to a Wikipedia entry. They are also regarded as “permanent public monuments.”
Wendy is best known for her talk show, The Wendy William Show, which has been running for over 23 years. She was previously inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in November of 2009. Wendy is also an author of several books detailing her experience as a radio presenter.
In addition, Wendy also several tv credits such as 30 Rock, Dancing With The Stars, Think Like a Man and Think Like A Man Too, and was cast as Mama Morton in the Tony-winning revival of the musical Chicago.
Wendy is presently developing a biopic and a documentary for Lifetime Television, going by the tentative title, How Are You Doing?, which she will executive produce. The biopic focuses on her life and career.
