Arsenal’s good run continues as Bukayo Saka and Lacazette inspire win

Arsenal compounds Wolverhampton Wanderers woes and dents hopes of Champions League qualification as goals from Bukayo Saka in the first half and Alexander Lacazette late in the game secures a 0-2 win away at the Molineux.

Wolves had not lost in eight Premier League games winning all three of their matches since the restart, but a sensational volley from Saka deep into the first half put Arsenal ahead just before the break.

The young winger has just extended his contract at the Emirates on a long term basis and couldn’t get any better as he seals it with his first Premier League goal of the campaign.

Wolves dominated the second period but a slotted finish from substitute Lacazette in the 86th minute sealed a second successive away victory for the Gunners, who have now won their last three games since a dismal 2-1 defeat to Brighton two weeks ago.

Arsenal has now moved up one place into the seventh position on the log, three points behind Wolves, who are now three points adrift of Manchester United in fourth.
