The local media in Buenos Aires claimed that Diego was detained when he flew into Argentina’s capital from Mexico. He was returning home from where he is the manager of the club side, Dorados de Sinaloa, when he was arrested and then issued a formal notice of the proceedings against him from his ex, Rocio Oliva.
There was also a court action filed by Rocio Oliva, whom he dated for six years before they broke up in December last year.
Oliva recently launched a claim in the San Miguel Family Court for “action of economic compensation” against the 58-year-old legend.
A court date has been fixed for June 13, which will be attended by his lawyer Matias Morla. According to the Sun, Diego was later released after several hours of interrogation, and negotiation aided by the Argentinian consul Agostin Molin.
