English League Top Ten Scorers

Harry Kane (Tottenham) 8 goals.

Hyped as the most in form striker in the game currently and not just by number of goals but overall work rate that he put in for the team. He has been impressive both domestically and internationally and Real Madrid have focused on getting him in the January transfer window.

Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) 7 goals.

The ever consistent Argentine powerhouse is still in the running for the golden boot despite missing a couple of matches and also not getting as much playing time as many others on the list, Aguero is riding on the back of is clinical ability and conversion rate.

Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United) 7 goals.

The good start that the Belgian put up at Old Trafford would have seen him top this list but somehow, their sails have seemingly lost some wind and Lukaku will be longing to return to scoring every other weekend.

Raheem Sterling (Manchester City) 6 goals.

Despite starting from the wing and never playing as the target man, it is a sight to see the wide flank player on this list. Sterling had witnessed a drop in his form last season but has left that behind with his pace on the right giving City what they want.

Alvaro Morata (Chelsea) 6 goals.

Although he is currently still out due to an injury, Morata is on this chart to show he was not just a desperate buy because Chelsea couldn’t get Lukaku. The Blues are currently missing the finishing of the quiet striker.

Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City) 6 goals.

The brazillian youngster seem to have adapted to life at the Etihad with uncommon ease. His displays in the EPL (known for tough defenders) show the talent Jesus exudes and all thanks to the faith of Guardiola.

Leroy Sane (Manchester City) 5 goals.

Another flank player and the fourth of City’s players in the top ten after the week 9 fixtures. The club have shown fluidity in attack and passing and by far out number any other club in the top ten and have outscored every other club in the competition. Sane has been a menace with his electric left foot and powerful shooting ability.

Mohammed Salah (Liverpool) 5 goals.

Probably, if Salah had one wish it would be to have Sane’s shot power. The Egyptian has done everything for Liverpool except disturb goalkeepers, though his pace makes up for it as he only has to poke the ball into the post most times to roll it. He will need to do better with his shooting however.

Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) 5 goals.

Season signing of Arsene Wenger has proven to be a competition for Oliver Giroud who now starts from the bench on a regular as Lacazette has the starting position. The ex-Lyon player has been a terror in the box with his head and precise positioning.

Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) 5 goals.

It is sad to see that Vardy cannot single handed lift the team safely out of the relegation heat zone but most of his goals this season have come from the penalty spot. The club are still adjusting and there is hope that other players will match his commitment.
