Owing to that, the Spanish club is reportedly set to sack their manager Julen Lopetegui and replace him with former Chelsea coach Antonio Conte.
According to Daily Mail Online, Madrid directors will meet to decide his dismissal 24 hours after watching the humiliating defeat to Barcelona in Sunday’s El Clasico.
The defeat at the Nou Camp has seen Madrid drop to ninth position in the La Liga table.
If Madrid sacks Lopetegui tonight, it will be the second time this year he has been fired from his job. Back in June, he was sacked as Spain’s national team coach on the eve of the World Cup, after he agreed to take over at Real Madrid.
