Nollywood actor Afeez ‘Saka’ Oyetoro is 53!

Nigerian actor Afeez Oyetoro, known popularly as Saka, turns 53 today.

Saka was born on 20 August 1963 in Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State southwestern Nigeria. He obtained a Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Theatre Art from Obafemi Awolowo University and the University of Ibadan respectively. He is currently studying for a doctorate degree at the University of Ibadan.

The social-media shy actor is married to Olaide Oyetoro and the marriage is blessed with three children.

Saka is known for his clown role in Nollywood movies and has featured in several high profile Nollywood films such as Ojukokoro (2016), The Wedding Party (2016) and The Wedding Party 2.

He is also a lecturer in the Department of Theatre Art at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Lagos State, Nigeria.

According to him, the fact that they see him act is like seeing him practise what he preaches, which reinforces his credibility with his students.

 “Acting has strengthened my integrity before my students,” says he in an interview with the Punch. “It makes me more credible as a lecturer. The practical aspect of me has enriched my teaching methodology.”
