Veteran Nollywood actor Toyosi Arigbabuwo has passed on.
The Guardian Newspaper reported the demise of the veteran actor, Toyosi Arigbabuwo. According to the newspaper, the film star died at his residence located at the Ile-Alli area, along the Apete-Arola Road in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The Guardian reported that sources close to the late Yoruba film star said he died evening in his house on Monday, 13th January 2019 after a long battle with an undisclosed ailment.
The news of the death of the actor came as a shock to many, especially the movie industry who not too long ago mourned the loss of some of their own including Olabankewin Fasasi, who is popularly known as Dagunro, and Samuel Akinpelu, who is popularly known as Alabi Yellow.
Some members of the Nollywood film industry have taken to their Instagram page to express their pain and shock over the news of Toyosi Arigbabuwo’s death.
A source also disclosed that the Veteran actor had been suffering the ailment that led to his demise for almost a year.
Until his death, he was the Public Relations Officer of the Muslim community in Apete-Awotan-Ayegun and environs in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo state.
The Chairman, Muslim community in Apete-Awotan-Ayegun and environs, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Amaoo also confirmed the death.
The Yoruba films veteran, Toyosi Arigbabuwo was a renowned actor who starred in various movies, among which are Ogborielemosho and Bashorun GAA.
The news of the demise of the veteran actor is indeed a sad one.
