Confirming the receipt of a reasonable sum as salary for his work in the film Sudani From Nigeria, the Nollywood actor said that he was contacted by the producers of the film and their explanation made him believe that there was no racial discrimination as he had claimed earlier.
The actor said it was a case of misunderstanding, miscommunication and misinformation, and he offered apologies to all who felt offended by his previous statements.
He specifically thanked Kerala finance minister, Thomas Isaac, for his support in resolving the issue and says it’s normal for people to sometime disagree.
“Before the controversy, we were like family and in all families, there will be disagreements and miscommunication. This is normal and when resolved, it only strengthens the bond between family members,” he writes.
The actor also said he will be donating a part of the pay he had received to an anti-racism educational charity.
