‘Supergirl’ star Melissa Benoist is expecting first child

America’s Supergirl star, actress Melissa Benoist has announced that she is expecting her first child with husband, fellow actor Chris Wood.

Supergirl, which is currently in its fifth season has both husband and wife in its cast. Fans of the actor and actress are happy for them but some are concerned that the pregnancy might affect the season six of their tv show.

“A non-canine child is coming to our family very soon!!!“, Melissa writes on her Instagram page to announce her pregnancy.

Melissa and Chris announced their wedding in November 2019.

Melissa took to her Instagram page to post a picture of herself holding a baby’s vest with her excited husband holding an adorable-looking puppy. She captions the photo:

“A non-canine child is coming to our family very soon!!! ??? @christophrwood has always been an old dad by nature but now he’s going to be a real one!”
