American talk show host Wendy Williams has accepted a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame Boulevard in a ceremony that took place on Thursday, 18th October 2019.
An emotional Wendy couldn’t hold her tears as she thanks her son, Kevin, who has “always encouraged me to keep it going and never asks me to pull back from anything that I say or that I wear or anything like that. He’s always been very encouraging.”

Wendy also has some things to say to her fans, whom she called “Wendy Watchers.”
“My fans! Listen, I slipped and called you fans only because I’m in Hollywood and I think I’ve gone Hollywood, but you’re not fans. That’s a stupid word,” she says. “I’ve always called you Wendy Watchers. When you listened on the radio, I told you I love you for listening and now I tell you I love you for watching.
“You are Wendy Watchers and without you, none of this would be going on.”
Wendy also touched on her splitting from ex-husband, Kevin Hunter. She acknowledged that the year has been tough but maintains that she’s “climbing out of the pit.”
Wendy started her career as a radio DJ and before transitioning to television in 2008 when she debuted her daytime talk show, The Wendy Williams Show. Her show attracts 2.4 million daily viewers. She has also made other television appearances as well as appear in films, theatre and standup comedy.
Wendy’s star is the 2,677 star on the Hollywood Wak of Fame Boulevard.
