According to the media outlet, Tory Lanez allegedly violated the restraining order that Megan Thee Stallion got against him when he performed at Rolling Loud this past summer.
“It’s been real,” Lanez tweeted from his official Twitter handle.
Twitter users wasted no time weighing in on the matter by sharing their opinions. Some reactions were celebrations of the fact that the rapper who shot Megan in the feet, was finally paying for his crimes.
In October 2020 the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office charged Tory Lanez for one count each of assault against Megan Thee Stallion with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
He was to face a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in prison, if found guilty.
Other reactions to the rapper’s farewell statement speculate that Tory is simply taking a break from social media for the rest of the year, after banking millions of dollars on his NFT endeavours.
Meanwhile, Tory Lanez had a recent one-on-one basketball game against Drake in Miami.
The duo went on an Instagram post where they argued the outcome of the game. According to Drake, he reigned as King on the court against 5’3″ Tory Lanez. He said: “I smoked these guys”.
Fans didn’t leave the basketball game out of their speculations. Some jokingly said that Tory got smoked on the court and sent the tweet to close out the scrimmage session.
