After taking a short break from music due to the birth of her son, Nicki Minaj returned with quite the entrance. Sales of her hot pink Crocs crashed the retailer’s website after her fans ordered in their numbers and she released a new mixtape, ‘Beam Me Up Scottie’ on May 14.
She had posted a picture of herself rocking the pink crocs on her social media platform with the caption ‘Friday’ hinting at a potential new release. Her fans got the hint and they also supported her massively by buying the promoted crocs till the retailer’s website crashed.

According to the retailer, the post from the queen barb caused a staggering 4,900% spike in sales of pink Crocs which ultimately led to their site crashing.
Nicki Minaj is not the first celebrity to collaborate with the brand to launch a successful release in the past year but she definitely is up there amongst the biggest sales.
Away from her pink crocs success, Nicki also released her mixtape, “Beam Me Up Scotty”, on 14 May and it certainly pleased fans who have been aching to get new music from the queen for a while now.

The 23-track mixtape comprises songs from the 2009 version of the mixtape as well as three new music as well.
The pick of the bunch is ‘Seeing Green’ as Nicki reunites with Lil Wayne and Drake on the track while ‘Fractions,’ and ‘Crocodile Tears (Remix) with Skillibeng completes the list.

Nicki’s last effort was her 2018 album, “Queen”, and to see her breakout mixtape on streaming services is such a huge relief for fans and music lovers.
