Doctor Cupid: The complete guide to being more romantic in 5 easy steps

As you grow older in a relationship with someone, the relationship may start to become monotonous and lose its excitement.

One of the most important things that you can do to turn things around is to put some effort into being more romantic in your relationship.

However, while it might look like the key to being more romantic, it is not always true. Chocolates, flowers, and dinner will not do everything you need it to do to fix your relationship.

Making the effort to improve your relationship is the key to whether you will have a long and happy relationship or not. To help you out, here is a thorough guide to help you be more romantic.

The best part: it comes in five tiny steps. All you have to do is to apply these and watch your romantic life transform.

1. Regularly tell your partner what you love about them

Sweet words produce oxytocin, which is necessary to trigger those sweet feelings you want to elicit in your partner. Regularly tell your partner what you love about them and their heart will soften towards you and increase the romance between you two.

2. Go on frequent dates

Couples are advised to go on frequent dates, talk about things that they may not talk about over a long while and just generally reconnect.

Don’t just go on dinner dates, as well. Go to the cinema and to other non-traditional places that will allow you to deepen your connection.

3. Compliment your partner often

Compliment your partner often. Tell them when they look nice or when they have done something that you are proud of. It softens their hearts towards you and rekindles romantic feelings between you.

4. Celebrate their smallest successes

Celebrate your partner’s successes, no matter how small. This has a more positive effect than being with them during hard times. Cook a small dinner to celebrate them or get them a little gift. It will go a long way.

5. Engage in PDA

Show your partner – in public – how much they mean to you. This triggers happy feelings in you two. You don’t have to share toe-curling kisses in public, but you should hold hands, kiss them on the cheek or just show some public displays of affection.

Romance is not dead, no matter how much people say that it is. Infuse some romance into your relationship and resurrect the closeness that you have with your partner.

Share your own steps for rekindling the romance with your partner below. Don’t forget to share this article as well.
