The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed five additional cases of Coronavirus, also known as Covid-19 in Nigeria.
A tweet released by the Centre says the new cases were confirmed in Lagos, River states and the FCT. Three of the new cases are returning travellers while two had contacts with confirmed cases.

According to the NCDC, the total confirmed cases in Nigeria has hit 51 due to the 5 new cases discovered.

Meanwhile, schools have been closed in many states of the federation. Some states government such as Lagos has also ordered their workers to work from home after the NCDC announced that Nigeria recorded its first death from the Coronavirus.
A new directive from Lagos state government says all markets will be closed effective today, Thursday, 26 March 2020 to ensure that the spread of the virus is curbed.
