Lagos state has announced three new coronavirus-related deaths in the state.
The state’s Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, announced this on Thursday, 16 April 2020. According to the commissioner, the deceased were all males aged 51, 52 and 62.
“Unfortunately, Lagos recorded 3 additional deaths from #COVID19 related complications,” Prof. Akin Abayomi writes on his Twitter handle. The deceased are males aged 51, 52 and 62. One of the dead; a medical doctor had contact with an infected person who recently returned to the country.

In a follow-up post, Prof Abayomi reveals the th other deceased had no travel history or contact with any known confirmed cases.
The state has now recorded 10 Coronavirus related deaths in total according to the commissioner for health.

At present, the total number of coronavirus cases in the country has skyrocketed to 407 and Lagos state is still the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria.
The president had placed an extension of the lockdown order in the state to ensure that the spread of the virus is contained.
