Nigeria has recorded an additional 216 new cases of Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, in the country, according to the latest coronavirus in Nigeria update by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC).
Through its official Twitter handle, NCDC confirmed that the total number of confirmed cases now sits at 6,175 cases. This was revealed through the handle’s nightly Coronavirus updates.
Out of the 216 new cases recorded, 74 were recorded in Lagos state, 33 in Kastina, 19 in Oyo, 17 in Kano, 13 in Edo, 10 in Zamfara, 8 in Ogun, Gombe, and Borno respectively. Bauch and Kwara states recorded 7 new cases each while the FCT recorded 4, Enugu and Kaduna 3 each, and Rivers two.
The death toll has risen to 191 with 1644 people discharged while the active number of cases is 4, 340.
