These updates are shared daily on NCDC’s Twitter account and make up the bulk of what Nigerians use to monitor the spread of the virus within the country.
As it stands, the trajectory of growth has been inconsistent, with double-digit and triple-digit figures recorded on alternate days.
For today’s update, a total of 155 new cases were recorded from just eight states in Nigeria.
Lagos State, Rivers State and Kaduna State recorded the highest number of Coronavirus cases.
Lagos State recorded 84 new cases, Rivers State recorded 31 new cases while Kaduna State recorded 12 new cases.
These new numbers take the total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases to 59,738. Additionally, 51,403 people have been successfully treated and discharged from isolation centres all over the country.
Sadly, 1,113 people have died from complications stemming from Coronavirus. The report says:
