The commissioner for health in Lagos State, Prof. Akin Abayomi, has announced that Lagos State has recorded another Coronavirus related death.
The deceased was a British national who suffered from Coronavirus pandemic in Lagos.
He was a 66-year-old who travelled from India, via Dubai, and arrived in Lagos on March 17.
“Lagos recorded another #COVID19 related death; a 66-year-old Briton who traveled from India via Dubai to Lagos on 17th of March, 2020. Let’s #StayHome and #StaySafe stop the spread of #COVID19 infection #ForAGreaterLagos,” the commissioner writes on his official Twitter handle.

Since the announcement by the commissioner, the total number of Coronavirus infections recorded in Nigeria has reached 276, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Lagos state remains the state the worst-hit state so far and has now recorded 145 cases.
