Through its official Twitter handle, NCDC confirmed that the total number of confirmed cases now sits at 5959 cases as of 18 May. This was revealed through the handle’s nightly Coronavirus updates.
The total number of cases in Lagos went up to a whopping 177, while Kano recorded 64 cases. FCT Abuja recorded 21 new cases, Rivers recorded 16 new cases, Plateau recorded 14 cases, Oyo recorded 11 new cases, Katsina recorded nine new cases, Jigawa and Kaduna recorded four new cases each, Abia, Bauchi and Borno recorded three new cases each, Gombe, Akwa Ibom, Delta recorded two new cases each, and Ondo, Kebbi, Sokoto recorded one new case each.
In addition to this, 1594 people have been discharged so far, up from 1472 cases yesterday. 182 people have sadly died so far, up from 176 yesterday.
