#EndSARS: Nigerian police release names of dismissed officers

The police force earlier announced its readiness to dismiss some SARS operatives, and to keep their word, they release the names and service numbers of the officers that have been dismissed.

The youths have asked for complete reformation via the #EndSARS protest and they seem to be having their demands met.

First, the IGP announced the dissolution of SARS, now some SARS operatives have been dismissed.

The names of the 37 officers were penned down for dismissal following Nigerian youths’ protests against the activities of the recently-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force.

In a series of tweets on Saturday, 17 October 2020, Ayo Akanji, a member of President Muhammadu Buhari’s media team released the names and service numbers of the dismissed officers on Twitter.
