The goodwill of Nigerians have sustained me in politics – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has credited his sustenance in office to Nigerians.

In a documentary put together by the Media and Publicity department of the State House titled: “Buhari: Beyond the Iron and Steel”, the president credits public goodwill for staying in politics, he says:

“I pray five times a day thanking God that allowed people to understand and believe me. This goodwill that I enjoy from the masses is what is keeping me in politics and of course, my central objective is to provide transparency and accountable government.”

Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun who appeared in the one-hour long documentary described President Buhari as a “reformed democrat”.

He says;

“I wish I had his patience. He would listen to everybody, and then take a decision. He is a reformed democrat.”
