Nigerians call out Access bank over double stamp duty charges

Dissatisfied Nigerians have taken to their social media pages to call out Access bank over repeated stamp-duty charges that were deducted from their savings accounts.

Over the weekend, Access Bank’s customers were debited repeatedly for stamp-duty charges.

Some Twitter accounts also called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the issue. They promise to storm the bank, come Monday morning for explanations.

Customers even went as far as shading the bank for giving out funds to the government for the eradication of coronavirus in the country when they didn’t have such funds.

  2. All these people with thousands of stamp duty, they must be receiving millions because stamp duty is only N50 per transactions. Or are they business account holders?

Got to show that government makes billions from us citizens, that on top us paying taxes. Mchew.
