Ali Baba speaks on Pastor Adeboye’s trending tweet

Popular Nigerian comedian Ali Baba has weighed in  on a trending tweet attributed to the head pastor of the Redeemed Christian’s Church of God – Pastor EA Adeboye.

Recently, the pastor took to his Twitter handle to tweet: “One of my sons once told me that he was always excited to resume in the office every Monday because he would get to see his secretary again. I told him to fire her immediately. Nothing and no one is worth your marriage.”

This particular tweet attracted various reactions from Nigerians as Nigerians are outraged at how simply someone could just lose their job.

Ali Baba isn’t left out of this as well as he has taken to his Instagram page to react to the tweet by the pastor. According to Ali Baba, it’s best to flee from temptation. He, however, did not address the aspect of the lady losing her job.

Read Alibaba’s reaction here:

“This matter has been discussed by several people on several platforms. And just as expected, some few had asked what’s my take

“First off, G.O. knows what he is talking about. And he has seen 99 cases when these kind of excitement to see another person, other than the one we are married to has ended in a new beginning and ending the present relationship.

“G.O. is talking to a Christian from a life he has lived and taught many. He can see the signs. Now listen to me, G.O. is a very spiritual man. His control of his actions and his reaction to things that happen to him will be unthinkable to people like me.G.O., will turn the other cheek. My brother, make sure you are carrying a gun or have a knife at the neck of someone I love. Because, I won’t turn the other cheek oo. Now, to my take on this matter. G.O. was coming from the point of ‘a man of God must flee any shade of temptation.’ So it’s best to flee. But what if the woman at home has continuously refused to give him joy? What if she is making life miserable for him?

What if he has prayed and fasted, yet cannot cope with the wife he has? What if she has refused to step up from where he met her, and as much as he as tried? What if she refused to understand him? What if it’s the man?

What if he can’t understand her? What if she has tolerated him and had had enough? What if she has tried her best and given up? What if she doesn’t turn him on again? And not just sexually, like he cannot just enjoy her company? What if marriage is not his thing? What if… its beyond prayer and fasting? What if she has threatened to kill him?
