Former Barcelona and Brazil playmaker Ronaldinho Gaucho has announced he has tested positive for coronavirus.
The 40-year-old, who was under house arrest for five months earlier this year, was due to attend a public event but will now stay at home.
Ronaldinho, who played for Barcelona, AC Milan, and Brazil in the past, says he was planning to attend a public event. However, after getting the test results he will now quarantine.
“I have been here in Belo Horizonte since yesterday, I came to participate in an event,” Ronaldinho says on Instagram on Sunday.
“I took the test and tested positive for Covid. I’m fine, asymptomatic, but we’ll have to leave the event for later. Soon we will be there together. Big hug!”
The former AC Milan, Flamengo and Gremio player said he would confine himself to his hotel room until his condition improved.
