BBNaija’s reality star Mike Edwards has revealed via social media how his older brother lost his life in Nigeria.
According to Mike, his older sibling who had sickle cell died as a result of the poor healthcare system in the country.
Mike shared this story in light of the recent happenings in the country. The country has truly failed her citizen in more ways than people can count or point to.
Mike continued that the thought that his brother could still be alive if he was in a country with good healthcare was heartbreaking.
He also stated that the fight to end SARS was also a cry for help after many years of bad governance.
In his words: “My older brother Matthew lost his life during a sickle cell crisis in Nigeria when he was 10 years old, to think if he would have been in a country with better healthcare support that his life would be saved today is heartbreaking. The fight to End SARS is our cry for help after years of corruption and bad governance.
