Nigerian comedian Sydney Talker who took to his Twitter handle to share his alleged experience with the NCDC has announced he has finally been tested and is awaiting his results.
According to Sydney, his case was dismissed as that of a common cold because according to NCDC, his symptoms and possible contacts did not fit the case of a possible COVID-19 infection based on his travel history and known contacts.
Although the comedian insisted that he was experiencing symptoms of the COVID-19 virus. After the series of allegations, the NCDC took to their official Twitter handle to state that they had contacted the person and were informed that it was a comedy skit. However, Sydney refuted the claim. He said he had not been contacted by the NCDC.
Apparently, it seems that the publicity paid off as Sydney took to his Twitter account to announce that he had finally gotten the test done.
“Thanks to everyone for the genuine concern towards my health and I also want to especially appreciate the Lagos state government @jidesanwoolu @LSMOH and @NCDCgov for reaching out as I have been tested and await my result this week,” he tweets.
