Coronavirus in Nigeria update: over 200 new cases confirmed on Wed 30 Sept

Nigeria has recorded an additional 201 coronavirus cases, according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on the 30th of September.

According to the Centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 58,848 confirmed. The Centre also stated that 50,358 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.

Meanwhile, 1,112 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Wednesday, 30th of September was 7,351.

“Lagos-77, Rivers-37, Plateau-25, FCT-13.,Kaduna-12, Ogun-12, Adamawa-8, Taraba-7, Imo-4, Kwara-2, Osun-2, Abia-1, Oyo-1

“58,848 confirmed, 50,358 discharged, 1,112 deaths”

Our discharges today include 257 community recoveries in Imo State and 85 homecare discharges in Delta State managed in line with guidelines.
