Coronavirus in Nigeria update: 120 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Nigeria

Nigeria has recorded an additional 120 coronavirus cases, according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on the 5th of October.

According to the Centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 59,465 confirmed. The Centre also stated that 50,951 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.

Meanwhile, 1,113 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Monday, 5th of October was 7,401.

Taking to it’s Instagram page, NCDC tweets: “120 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria;

“Rivers-65, FCT-12, Ogun-9, Katsina-8, Anambra-7, Bauchi-5, Oyo-5, Nasarawa-3, Kaduna-2, Kwara-1, Taraba-1, Imo-1, Delta-1;

“59,465 confirmed, 50,951 discharged, 1,113 deaths”
