The musician aired her frustrations in a sit-down and said she may quit music. She also mentioned that the high-cost of promoting her music is a major problem for her. She said it takes up all of her funds when she has more important things to do, such as paying her daughter’s school fees.
A lot of fans and family have taken to social media to react to Waje’s confession including Ubi Franklin who says it’s tough to be “singer and label.”
Just like others, the FOGMMON’s president has reacted to Waje’s outburst but in a different way. He first appreciated the singer’s sincerity and pointed out that she has made an impact in the secular music industry. He went forward to say that he believes what she is going through right now is a sign that she is being called back to gospel music where she started from.
He further encouraged her saying: “There is a big space for you in the Kingdom.”
