Do you give them second chances in good faith and trust that it will never happen again or do you let the relationship go believing that trust can never be rebuilt?
These are some very important question that you need to ask yourself when someone you love or deeply cherish betrays your trust.
Of course, everyone deserves a second chance because we are all capable of mistakes but there are some situations where we might think about it several times and be resolved to never break.
Before you do so, ask yourself these five questions:
- Have they been honest?
- Have they shown remorse for their actions?
- Do they really want a second chance?
- Have you both grown as people?
- Can you carry on with a relationship with them without feeling wronged or without feeling resentment?
If after answering these questions, you are still convinced that they don’t deserve a second chance, then you don’t have to force anything with them.
Simply explain to them that your relationship is over and then move on to better relationships that serve you and fill you with love and light.
