According to her, feminism does not give women the right to act in a toxic manner without getting the consequences of their actions.
She also added that when people act terribly, that behaviour should be addressed regardless of their gender. She finished by saying that those who match dysfunction with feminism are waging a personal war and not practising feminism.
Many people felt that this was a message about Big Brother Nigeria’s housemate, Erica’s actions on the show. She went on a tirade after the Saturday night party which caused her to be disqualified from the show.
She wrote:
“What feminism is NOT about: women’s rights to toxic behavior without consequences. Trash behavior should be addressed regardless of gender.
“There’s evidently a Twitter camp for whom logic is a challenge. Equality in opportunities and human dignity is what feminism is about. Trying to match dysfunction and toxicity is your personal war not feminism. You cannot become the problem you are trying to solve.”
