Nicki Minaj, first female rapper to move over 5 million units per album

Nicki Minaj continues to add to her legacy with a new accomplishment and her worldwide succes has many considering her as one of the greatest female talents in rap music’s history.

Since her arrival on the scene, her adeptness for bars and melody have impressed her fans as she has steadily built an empire atop a limited class of women in hip-hop.

While the scene appears to be expanding, Nicki likely still sits atop the throne without having released an album since 2014.

The Queens rapper has officially sold over 5 million copies of each of her studio albums, making history as the first female rapper to accomplish such an achievement.

With a discography including Pink Friday, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and The Pinkprint, the world has embraced Nicki as a superior talent in hip-hop, allowing her to move at least 5 million units for each project globally. With the release of her next album appearing to come later this year, Nicki has a chance to further make a mark in the industry.

Although album sales have become harder to come by as streaming sites have become the norm, the secretive nature of Minaj’s upcoming project makes us wonder what could be up the rapper’s sleeves.

Congratulations Nicki on reaching such an impressive accomplishment. We will continue to look for any official updates about her upcoming musical endeavors.
