TMZ is reporting that he filed the restraining order in order to prevent domestic violence, although it is unclear what he claims Braxton did.
Adefeso filed the restraining order in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday, 8 September.
This is coming only weeks after Braxton had to be rushed to the hospital following a suspected suicide attempt. The singer and reality TV star had reportedly ingested too much wine and overdosed on medication.
Her boyfriend was the one who called 911 reporting that she wanted to kill herself. He also mentioned her issues with WEtv at the time.
Following the incident, Tamar shared a lengthy post on Instagram thanking him for saving her life. Family members have shared suspicions, though, according to TMZ.
Her family believes that she has changed since she started dating Adefeso, with her moods aligning with his. There are also reports that he comes off as controlling and has also been involved in her business decisions lately.
