The 44-year-old award-winning American-South African actress is one of the many women all over the world who have chosen a life without a partner and are loving it.
Charlize is not actually along, she says. She is the mother to two adopted children, Jackson and August.
Charlize Theron was a guest on the SiriusXM where she spoke to Howard Stern and she broke this down properly. She said:
“I’ve never wanted to get married. That’s never been something that’s important to me.”
At some point in the conversation, Stern suggested that she may want love in her life as she could get lonely as a woman. Theron replied by saying:
“I have two great little loves of my life right now. Life is filled with love… I have never been lonely, I have never felt alone.”
She explained that since she adopted Jackson, 8, in March 2012 and August, 4, in July 2015, she cannot imagine adding any more people to her life as it is hectic enough.
“My life right now doesn’t allow room for something like that [a romantic relationship] to happen … but there’s not this need that drives me [to find love],” she continued during the interview.
“I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to live with someone else again, to be perfectly frank.”
It’s not a secret that a lot of women want this type of life as well, with the rumoured challenges in marriage and especially as more women get busier.
