The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office charged Tory Lanez for one count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
He also faces an extra allegation of inflicting grievous bodily harm during the incident. His arraignment has been set for Saturday, 10 October.
If he is found guilty and convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in prison.
This is coming two weeks after Tory Lanez denied shooting Megan in his latest album, ‘Daystar’.
He dedicated a diss song to the events of the night. The song, titled ‘Money over Fallouts’ addressed the alleged shooting and he claimed that “Megan people trying to frame me for a shooting.”
“Girl, you had the nerve to write that statement on an affidavit knowing I ain’t do it but I’m coming at my truest trying to keep this s--t 200 with you, shorty, I can prove it,” Tory rapped.
Megan has accused Tory Lanez of shooting her many times, going as far as to share pictures from the alleged shooting.
