The Aquaman actress, 33, opened up about her violent proclivities in an audio clip that she recorded with Johnny Depp, 56, in 2015 as they tried to work through their problems.
“I’m sorry that I didn’t, uh, uh, hit you across the face in a proper slap, but I was hitting you, it was not punching you. Babe, you’re not punched.
“I don’t know what the motion of my actual hand was, but you’re fine, I did not hurt you, I did not punch you, I was hitting you,” Heard can be heard saying in the audio clip.
The actress, who is now an ambassador for women’s rights, and a domestic violence advocate, told Depp sometime during the video: “You are such a baby. Grow the f**k up Johnny.
“You poke an animal enough, it is eventually, it doesn’t matter how friendly it is, it’s not cool.”
The audio is one of the many conversations the couple had and which were recorded consensually on Heard’s phone.
Sometime during this video, Depp complains he’s forced to leave when she becomes ‘manic and angry’, telling Heard: “I’m not going be in a physical f**king altercation with you… you f**king hit me last night. I’m not the one who throws pots and whatever the f**k else at me.”
Heard responds: “That’s different. That’s different. One does not negate the other. That’s irrelevant, that’s a complete non sequitur. Just because I’ve thrown pots and pans does not mean you cannot come and knock on my door. “
When Depp cuts in to suggest he’s also had vases hurled at him, she replies: “Just because there are vases does not mean that you come and knock on the door.”
The audio was acquired by Daily Mail and then shared online. The video has now reached social media and caused a number of phrases including, #JusticeforJohnnyDepp, #MeToo, Amber Heard, and many others as people bashed Amber Heard for her actions.
Many others also sympathized with Depp and called for Heard to be cancelled and her role in Aquaman stripped from her.
The pair met on the set of the film, ‘Rum Diary’ in 2011 and married in 2015. They split two years later following claims from Heard that she had endured abuse at the hands of Johnny Depp.
She later dropped the charges and was awarded a seven million dollar settlement which she donated to charity.
Depp was later fired from the Pirates of Carribean franchise following her allegations. She also wrote an op-ed for Washington Post where she described being a victim of domestic violence.
She did not mention his name, but she strongly implied that she was writing about Depp. This caused Depp to file a $50 million defamation lawsuit against her, which started the case that revealed this audio.
