JOCA, an exceptional Nollywood short film that raises awareness on COVID-19 pandemic, which is popularly known as coronavirus, has premiered on YouTube.
JOCA (Just One Call Away) tells the story of Richard, a staunch religious believer, who returns from abroad and exhibits symptoms of COVID-19.
His pregnant wife, Kemi, suspects he may have been exposed to the virus and insists they call NCDC to get him tested.
However, his spiritual belief would rather make him depend on the Word of God for healing than to be kept in an isolation center where he fears he may never have the chance to be with his family again.
This movie was a collaboration between Krystal Filmworks and Ebwa Productions.
Joca was directed by Mr Umanu Ojochenemi Elijah based on screenplay written by Chris Nzekwe. It was produced by Lemuel Bawa and Miracle Nduka while Ojoduwa Umanu was the head of cinematography. Honesty Bawa and umanu Elijah served as executive producers of the project.
JOCA stars Kunle Remi and Bolaji Ogunmola, Umanu Elijah, Clare Ezekacha, Miracle Nduka and Kalu George.
The movie is definitely what Nigerians and people around the world need right now, to keep them educated on the pandemic.
