Arsenal opened up a six-point lead after condemning Rapid Vienna to a 4-1 defeat inside a vibrant Emirates Stadium that welcomed about 2000 fans on Thursday night.

Celtic despite some positive moments at the San Siro was unable to hold on to an early 2 goal lead as Italian giant AC Milan produced a superb comeback to win 4-2 in the Europa League.

The current Serie A leaders AC Milan despite falling two goals behind were unfazed as Hakan Calhanoglu whipped a sensational free-kick home before Samu Castillejo dinked over a sea of green shirts ahead of him to haul Milan level.

Milan’s turnaround was soon complete after the break as the impressive Jens Petter Hauge made it 3-2 as Celtic crumbled in the middle of the second half.

Nonetheless, they were unable to find a way an equaliser before Brahim Diaz rounded things off late on, condemning Celtic to a third successive four-goal defeat in the Europa League.

The result, coupled with Lille’s own 2-1 comeback win against Sparta Prague – means Milan have qualified for the knockout rounds along with the French side.
