Keylor Navas remains the starting goalkeeper for now

Lopetegui will have to choose between Keylor Navas, and the new signing, Thibaut Courtois.

Navas made it clear that he will keep fighting for the number one spot at Madrid and for now, it seems he has managed to retain it.

Thibaut Courtois hasn’t been registered for the match against Atletico Madrid and didn’t play at all in last Saturday’s friendly against AC Milan.

The coach could however just be resting the Belgian after his World Cup exploits and a controversial transfer.
