Fulham denied Liverpool the chance to go top of the Premier League as both sides shared the points in a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
The top spot was there for the taking as Premier League leaders Tottenham drew at Crystal Palace earlier on Sunday but Liverpool were caught cold by Scott Parker’s side, who were roared on by their returning 2,000 supporters and deservedly led through Bobby Decordova-Reid on 25 minutes.
Liverpool had the worst first half by a mile and fit-again Alisson was on hand to keep Liverpool in the game.
Jurgen Klopp’s side battled back after the break, with Mohamed Salah forcing home a penalty on 79 minutes and despite having almost 79 percent of the ball in that second half, Liverpool couldn’t find a second.
However, they will have another chance to pip the table-toppers on Wednesday when both sides collide at Anfield in a mouth-watering clash.
Fulham, meanwhile, can take positives from their performance, although Burnley’s win at Arsenal later on Sunday means they drop to 18th.

Crystal Palace 1-1 Tottenham: Spurs retain top spot despite draw
Jeffrey Schlupp salvaged the points for Crystal Palace in the London derby on Sunday against Tottenham Hotspur with a late strike late to earn the eagles a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park.
Harry Kane opened the scoring midway through the first half for his ninth Premier League goal of the season.
But Spurs seemed content to sit on their slender lead, and Palace deservedly equalised through Schlupp after Hugo Lloris spilled Ebere Eze’s free-kick.
Palace goalie Guaita made a superb one-handed save to deny Eric Dier’s free-kick in stoppage time as Palace moved above Newcastle and Wolves into 11th place while Jose Mourinho’s side remain top courtesy of a superior goal difference following Liverpool’s surprise 1-1 draw at Fulham later on Sunday.
