Premier League Roundup: Manchester United shocked by Sheffield United at Old Trafford; Plus Premier League Table

Manchester United‘s title aspirations was dealt a setback on Wednesday as Sheffield United pulled off one of the shocks of the season to secure a famous 2-1 win at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side froze under the pressure against bottom-of-the-league Blades, missing the chance to leapfrog their neighbour City to go top of the Premier League.

Some questionable goalkeeping from David de Gea handed Kean Bryan an opportunity to head home Sheffield’s opener, however, former Sheffield United man Harry Maguire scored his first goal at Old Trafford to level it up.

Despite United’s late siege on the Sheffield United goal, it was Chris Wilder who would get the upper hand as his decision to bring on Oliver Burke paid off as he struck the winner via a big deflection off Axel Tuanzebe.

The result leaves Manchester United trailing Manchester City who have an outstanding game to play by a point.
