Victor Osimhen‘s agent, William D’Avilla, says he expects his client to be cleared in time to for Napoli’s Serie A clash with AS Roma on Sunday.
Osimhen injured his shoulder while on international duty with Nigeria and was subsequently unavailable for the Giallorossi in their 3-1 loss to AC Milan over the weekend.
He will also be sidelined for Thursday’s Europa League clash with Rijeka to ensure he is in the best shape heading into the weekend fixtures.
D’Avila says he expects Osimhen to be back in full training with his team-mates before Serie A’s the clash witth the visiting in-form AS Roma team – without a loss since the opening day against Hellas Verona.
“The boy is very well, we hope to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible: in a few days we will see him train again with the rest of the team,” said told Radio Kiss Kiss (via Tuttosport).
“His adaptation phase is over, sorry for the injury that stopped him in a delicate period of the season”.
He added: “I hope that with the Giallorossi Victor can at least be on the bench. If he doesn’t hurt he can do it – more than twenty goals this season!”
In eight appearances across all competitions for Napoli so far this season, the most expensive African-born player in history has scored two goals.
I wish him quick recovery.
