Nigerian singer and songwriter Sadiq Onifade, known professionally as Wurld, earlier in 2020 released an extended playlist of songs titled “AFROSOUL“. He has now released the EP’s deluxe edition, just as the year is gearing to an end.
“AFROSOUL (Deluxe)” was released on the 20th of November 2020 and it comprises nine songs with two brand new joints, “Bossy” featuring Kida Kudz & Cuppy and “Chop N Pray”.
The new body of work joins an amazing collection of beautiful renditions Wurld has blessed the music industry with since he got the ground running in 2016. His recent discography includes a joint EP with Nigerian music producer SARZ and we are certain of more beautiful songs by 2021.
Wurld while explaining how “Bossy” was created tells Cuppy on Apple Music’s Africa Now: “I actually slid it in his DM. I was like, ‘Yo bro, I’m a fan.’ And he came back less than a minute later, like, ‘Yo bro, I’m a fan.’ I was like, ‘Oh. Say no more. Let’s get on FaceTime.’ I played him some records. I played him ‘Bossy,’ the draft that I had at the time.
“And he was like, ‘Yo bro, send that.’ I sent it to him. He sent it back to me. I was like, ‘Yo, who can I get on this?’ I was like, ‘Cuppy.’ I was like, ‘Hope she wants to do this.’ I called you. You shared the love back. He was like, ‘Yo.’ We got on FaceTime immediately. The energy all across the board, it was just pure. And that’s what it’s about.”
