Chadwick Boseman won the SAG Award for outstanding performance by a leading man for his effort in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” posthumously on Sunday.
Boseman, who died aged 43 in August after a private battle with colon cancer, was honoured during the Sunday event. His wife, Taylor Simone Ledward, accepted the award on his behalf with a touching speech.

She said, “‘If you see the world unbalanced, be a crusader that pushes heavily on the seesaw of the mind.’ That’s a quote from Chadwick Boseman,”
“Thank you, Screen Actors. Thank you, Chad,” she added.
Viola Davis who co-starred alongside Boseman in the movie was also honoured on Sunday. She won the award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role.
