Some fans mistake Madonna for Maradona after footballer’s death

After news of Maradona’s death, iconic AMERICAN singer and ‘Queen of Pop’, Madonna began trending in the US as some fans mistook her for the dead legendary footballer.

According to an international news report, following the news of Maradona’s death, trend monitors noticed an increased traffic for the name Madonna. It started off as a genuine mistake but soon turned into into comic relief.

Tweets about Madonna started filtering in as some misspelled Maradona’s while others began joking about it. See some of them below:

While Madonna has not said anything about this news, she is still very much alive. She appeared on Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” remix along with Missy Elliott and The Blessed Madonna.

Last week, she had released a HQ version of her “Hung Up” music video, to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of Confessions On A Dance Floor.
