The complete list of winners at the MTV Video Music Awards 2017

It wasn’t the most exciting awards, industry watchers said some said that it didn’t even come close to making a lasting impression.

Katy Perry, served as the night’s host, and started with a video sketch about space travel that featured astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Peggy Whitson. The singer joked about the state of the world.

Paris Jackson, daughter of the late Michael Jackson, was also present and presented the the award for best pop video.

Dominating the list of winners is Kendrick Lamar who won six awards of the eight for which he was nominated. Taylor Swift also won, of the only category for which she was nominated, Collaboration, for “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker)” with Zayn Malik. Kanye West also took a statuette home for Best Choreography for the song Fade.

For Kendrick Lamar the VMAs was a successful night
